AIRCRAFT, JET ENGINE & AEROSPACE WELDING
Single Phase and Medium Frequency welding machines are designed to meet the highest
standards of resistance welding in the Aircraft and Aerospace industries.
British Federal offer spot and seam welding machines from 100kVA up to 600kVA. Also
available are MFDC controlled machines that offer numerous advantages over less efficient
single-phase versions.
THE FORCE SYSTEM
• The low iner琀椀a weld force system using double ac琀椀ve fric琀椀onless diaphragm cylinders ranging
from 20kN or 30kN.
THE MACHINE FRAME
• A robust fabricated machine frame with integral reinforcing elements designed to absorb loads
whilst minimising de昀氀ec琀椀on, vital for achieving precision welds.
MEDIUM FREQUENCY DC WELDING TRANSFORMER (MFDC)
The use of a MFDC Welding transformer carries several advantages such as:
• Reduced Transformer size
• Balanced 3 phase load distribu琀椀on.
• High secondary current capability.
MEDIUM FREQUENCY INVERTER WELDING
• Bri琀椀sh Federal O昀昀ers ‘Medium Frequency Inverter’ welding system through Serra MFDC for our
aerospace machines.
